hith 231 is designed by Mike Fabricius, and he has used the experience gained from developing clic and unnu furniture in the creation of hith.
hith 231 is a piece of furniture featuring two fabric doors, three shelves, and one back plate for the centre compartment. In addition, wall brackets are included in the package.
Everything is Danish - from the idea to the design and production.
Mounting and construction
The same wall mounting system known from unnu is used. It can carry more weight than most standard wall brackets, is easier to mount level, and ensures that the furniture is securely fixed to the wall. This also prevents any rattling when speakers, subwoofers, etc. are placed inside the furniture.
The furniture is made from MDF and not particle board. It is delivered fully assembled, meaning the customer does not need to assemble it at home. Furthermore, gluing the furniture together provides a better and more stable construction.
Reversible design
The furniture includes a high degree of innovation for a product in this price range. It is reversible, meaning there is one cable hole on one side and three cable holes on the other. This allows the customer to decide whether one or three hole should face upwards.
The idea behind having one hole is for customers who only need space for a TV above the furniture, while the side with three holes is ideal for those who also want to place a turntable, lamp, or other items on top.
The cable holes are shaped as half arches, designed to fit the large clic and unnu cable trays. These cable trays cover the half-arch cut-outs. The cable trays are available in white, natural aluminum, and black, and can be ordered as either clic or unnu accessories.
Special features
If you wish to stack several hith 231 units on top of each other, this can easily be done, and all cables can be routed internally through the furniture.
The same door opener for the fabric doors as used in unnu is applied, allowing the doors to be side-mounted and thereby creating space for speakers placed directly beneath the top plate.
Various unnu components can be ordered and installed if you wish - shelves, back panels, unnu feet, unnu stands, unnu wheels, etc.
The total height is 35.4 cm - the same as unnu - which is ideal as it fits LP records.
